Friends of Bridgewater History

As we approach the 250th anniversary of our country, the Friends of Bridgewater History and the Somerset County Historical Society thought it would be a good idea to bring together the groups in Bridgewater who support the rich history of Bridgewater Township.  The Alliance includes:

• Somerset County Historical Society, headquartered at the historic Van Veghten House

• Friends of Bridgewater History

• Heritage Trail Association, headquartered at the historic Van Horne House

• Washington Campground Association (Follow on Facebook!)

• Representatives from Bridgewater Township

The goal of the Alliance is to share information about the history of Bridgewater with its residents, support events/activities sponsored by the groups, and plan the celebration of the 250th anniversary of our country.
